Bear in mind that I took 2011/2012 to home school my autistic son, which really cut into my working hours. I was also out of commission for 6 wks with allergies this spring, and still made roughly $75,000.
Broken down, that's:
Amazon: $25,000, plus $1950 from Dorchester back pay when Amazon bought them out.
Smashwords: $27,092
B&N: $15,125
CreateSpace: $146
Some things I'll be doing to make bookkeeping easier next year: printing out bank and credit card statements and entering each revenue stream into a spreadsheet monthly. Good time to do that is when bills are paid. Wasn't good about using budget software this year, so need to improve on that.
Over all, not bad for a stay at home mom :)
*Actually, it was more like $70,000. John blames fat finger syndrome, but plugging the numbers into a spreadsheet helped immensely. I'm grateful someone other than me is helping with the numbers. Creative daze does not lend itself to linear math.
That's pretty awesome, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI know it's not going to break the bank but you can expect my $8 in 2013 for When the Sea Burned and Scorched Earth. ;)
Without readers like you, there would be no bank. I remember that always, so thank you.
